Who amongst us does not desire to be happy?
It is one of those seemingly illusive states that flickers in and out of our experiences, leaving many wondering how truly attainable and sustainable is this feeling?
I speak of my own experiences and to be honest, my life was overshadowed by such intense desperation, happiness was not my immediate desire…
Peace - was critical if I were to survive the extremely chaotic turmoil within. For anyone who is not sure, HELL is a fragmented mind overcome with sorrow and despair.
Release from this mental hell was my number one priority, and after many years of a passionate, no-time-for-excuses
searching, I learnt to discern and absorb “new” information, how to maintain a persistent and disciplined practice of utilizing tools such as;
Meditation - the practice of observing thoughts which eventually allows us to truly recognize which ones dominate our attention as our most pre-dominant thoughts create our reality.
Yoga - helps to calm our physical restlessness and trains our focus on the breath which in turn, assists in quieting the constant flow of thoughts (monkey chatter mind).
Eventually I was re-programmed enough to keep my attention on applying Universal principles to my 24/7 living. This journey evolved a center where peace became one of its foundational components.
The most beautiful thing is, once inner peace envelops your perceptions, there is no longer a need to seek other qualities such as happiness, since they are all by-products of a mind at one with creation.
If I no longer fear, then I am filled with a deep sense of ease and the fullness of my awareness is now open to inhale the
ever-unfolding revelations of my purpose and part in the creation story.
And what is happiness: if not to sit in silence... being fully
aware of the sensation of God’s Presence coursing through
your being - cell to cell - fiber to fiber.
What is happiness: if not to see a flower as if for the first time
- inhaling - witnessing it’s exquisite fragrance titillating and tantalizing your senses, feeling its softness mystically caressing you, becoming one with your own skin, and in that same moment, knowing that you are participating in a sacred and spiritual fusion of energies…

What is happiness: if not to sit amongst the stars and feel
the subtle yet unmistakable Universal pulse become one with
the beating of your own heart.
Happiness is everywhere at all times, but unless we overcome
the fears and internal discord, it is blocked from our consciousness.
Happiness is NEVER outside ourselves and never, ever in our imbalanced pursuits of material things.
Happiness is a literal - living, breathing connection to our only real Self functioning in harmony with the Greater Whole.
Happiness is finally being who we are …. living a life aware of each moment, fully conscious of each thought and choice we make and allowing the unknown to become known in and through us.
